This is NOT your ordinary Italian Podcast

We explore the ins and outs of Italian culture using English and simple Italian

  • Italian may seem like a daunting language for many.

We totally get it. It was a struggle for us as well as when we started dating. As you can guess, only one of us was Italian. To make our relationship work in the long run, we had to accept and overcome the “communication challenge”.

And so we learned. In the process, we saw a problem.

Conventional language learning tools failed to prepare foreigners in confronting the reality of the Italian lifestyle while properly immersing themselves in it.

  • We created a podcast, an “escape”, or a “safe space” so to speak, where entry-level Italian language learners can discover everything they want to know about Italy and its people, while training their earbuds at the same time.

Our conversations will be done both in English and in simple Italian.

  • On the contrary! Like any multilingual couple, we often switch languages during our conversations.

We found it to be a more accessible way of learning each other’s mother tongue while not getting very frustrated with our mistakes - a common feeling for starters.

Once you’re more confident with the language you wish to learn, you can proceed in mastering it using more advanced materials.
